The waving of banners and flags is a part of worship services and was created for people with a passion to worship through flagging. Flags are used in worship as signs of rejoicing, as a tool for spiritual warfare, for glorifying God and for declaring God’s word.

There is often a release of excitement and energy when praise banners and flags are used in worship. Faith is released in the congregation as someone feels inspired to make a declaration of praise by waving banners and flags exalting some aspect of His name. This sort of dynamic expression allows for a greater liberty in the Spirit in those meetings. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” (2 Corinthians 3: 17).

We will [shout in] triumph at your salvation and victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. (Psalm 20:5)
The most important thing flags or banners do is mark victory. It is well understood that we are the army battling for territory and we know we have already won. We must walk this out in prayer and submission to our Lord and Savior through the power of the Holy Spirit which leads us. We must step up to the highest spot possible for all to see the conquering flags and banners of God’s glory and victory.
